The North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) was established in 2006 to educate both the medical community and the public about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and related blood clotting disorders.

We now know that blood clots are connected to several other health conditions like diabetes, obesity, and high cholesterol. With that in mind, we have shifted our focus beyond just DVT and PE and have expanded our educational programming to reflect key advancements in cardiovascular medicine.

Our commitment to strengthening patient-clinician communication makes NATF unique. We create educational materials for both clinicians and patients, with the aim of facilitating better communication between the two groups.

Mission

The North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by blood clots and related diseases. Through our comprehensive resources and innovative programming, we strive to educate patients and clinicians about thrombosis and its complications.

VISION

To be the premier resource for blood clot education.
