Pulmonary embolism remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients both while in the hospital and in the early postdischarge period. The options for thromboprophylaxis have increased since the advent of the direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs).
Join us in this live symposium as Dr. Samuel Goldhaber and a panel of experts explore strategies designed to optimize prevention of both pulmonary embolism and stroke in at-risk patients. They will discuss best practices to manage anticoagulation-associated bleeding, as well as best practices to reduce the risk of rehospitalization in at-risk patients.

- Clinical recommendations for VTE prophylaxis in hospitalized acutely ill patients

- Current strategies to manage urgent DOAC-associated bleeding
