Dr. Bikdeli is a clinician-investigator, with training in cardiology, advanced training in vascular medicine, and a particular interest in thrombotic disorders and antithrombotic therapy.
After graduation from medical school, Dr. Bikdeli completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Yale/YNHH Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). He stayed at Yale to complete Internal Medicine residency training and continued his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, where he also completed an NIH T-32 research fellowship and received a Master of Science in Patient-Oriented Research.
Dr. Bikdeli completed an Advanced Vascular Medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH)/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bikdeli’s research has been funded by the NIH, the American Heart Association, and BWH.
He has contributed to over 180 publications in journals including _Lancet, JAMA, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the British Medical Journal_, and others. Dr. Bikdeli was the lead author of two international consensus documents related to thrombosis in COVID-19 and is involved in several clinical trials and observational studies for thrombotic diseases.
