Courtney Battaglia is the Patient Education and Community Content Manager at the Vasculearn Network (VLN). She leads the creation of patient-facing content across newsletters, articles, and digital events. Her work helps ensure that VLN’s educational materials are accurate, inclusive, and easy to understand. She also oversees the organization’s online support groups and works closely with faculty and partners to deliver meaningful support and information to people affected by blood clots and other vascular conditions.

Before joining VLN, she worked as a registered nurse for over 16 years, with clinical experience in oncology, cardiology, and autoimmune disorders. Her writing has appeared in outlets like Health.com, and she brings her passion for patient education to every project. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists.
