LaVon Woodard lives in Brunswick, Georgia where he works as a licensed professional barber and owns a successful barbershop. In 2017, he went to the ER and later went to his primary care with symptoms of a blood clot in his leg. He was sent home without treatment. It wasn’t until 2022 he was diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis (DVT). He is grateful to join the VLN Medical Advisory Board to share his experience and learn more from those in the Vasculearn Network.
