Jelena Spyropoulos has more than 15 years of experience in the medical education industry, with a specific focus in cardiovascular disease and anticoagulation management. Jelena obtained her PhD in Molecular Genetics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City in 2006. After completing her dissertation, Jelena began her career as a biomedical writer, focusing on scientific publications in the areas of hematology/oncology, anticoagulation, and cardiovascular disease. She has since overseen scientific communications for several therapeutic areas while maintaining a focus in anticoagulation management. 

Jelena currently works at Medscape Education Global and leads the team responsible for new business development across a spectrum of therapeutic areas. Jelena’s team also helps assess CME outcomes to demonstrate educational impact and publishes the demonstrated findings. Jelena has been the lead contributor on numerous publications over the last decade and has recently delivered presentations at key conferences, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), The American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions, and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).
